Strength Motivation That Will FIRE You Up!

One of the things I love to do in order to keep learning & constantly be motivated to keep trying harder is to listen to others athletes & coaches interviews

There is something about listening to their past struggles that lights up a fire in me and let’s me know that things get hard, and the only way to improve is to keep going & take more risks!

One of my strength friend’s Dave Hall from Agoge Fitness Systems has been running an interview show weekly where he has interviewed some of the best strength and condition coaches & athletes

He calls these weekly interviews Mental Meat Heads

That name is powerful & right away tells you that these interviews go a lot deeper than just training for bigger muscles or lifting more, those topics are disccused for sure, but these conversations also talk about about getting stronger mentally, so we can kick ass physically!

Euphoria, Consistency & The TRUTH!

Hey guys, hope your doing great

I’ve been getting lots of great feedback since I mentioned that I got my first muscle up yesterday…if you wanna see a video of that you can do so here:

One of my facebook fans described the feeling of your first muscle up as euphoria & I completely agree

I wanted to scream like a little girl when I did it, had a big smiling face & felt totally invincible since I conquered this move

So many possibilities have been opened now & I want you to experience the same

Not just with muscle up, but with any movement you are struggling with (even your first push up)

And the only way you will experience this is with consistency

To day in and day out work towards your strength goal & slowly get better every-time, to start feeling in control of the movement & realize everyday that you now are much stronger than last week

When I first started doing handstands I couldn’t walk side to side, I would try but fall right away

These falls motivated me to keep working on this move everyday (doing multiple holds throughout the day)

In about 3 weeks my body got used to to this move, increased my stability, strength & I was able to have more control of this move and do it without falling

All because I keep consistently working on this Bodyweight skill

This same principle applies to other skills & I have also used this to improve my push ups & pull ups

It’s know is not sexy to talk about hard work & having discipline, but there are no shortcuts to getting stronger with bodyweight

You can either do the move or can’t!

So with that said, if you are struggling with any bodyweight move right now, keep working on it everyday & I guarantee you will get better at it!

Are You Feeling Tired?

You guys what’s up! hope your having an awesome Monday!

I saw many people at the gym today with low energy, tired & didn’t feel like lifting too much…But they did it anyway!

Sometimes you are pumped up with energy & ready to kill it, and others you feel lost, cold, not in the moment, tired & heavy

We all have those days & there are many factors that can cause you too be low in energy like:

  • eating too much sugar the night before (or fast food)
  • drinking alcohol during the weekend
  • bad sleep (to much or too little sleep)
  • not drinking enough water during the weekend
  • had a long drive (or not much movement)
  • too much work & didn’t stop being stressed out

or maybe you are training too much & your body just needs a deload, so take it easier for a week to give your CNS time to recover & come back stronger

It’s never a one sided equation & there are many factors that can make you feel tired but ultimately once you are aware of how you feel is up to you to decide how to act:

  • Are you gonna still do the work even tough you don’t feel like it?
  • or are you gonna let these depressive emotions take control of how you feel?

The decision is up to you!

In the end nobody is forcing you to workout…nobody is telling you to lift heavy weights or to beat your body up so it can get stronger,

You do it because you refuse to be weak, because this fight will strengthen your character & make you a better man or woman!

It’s not easy but this is the only way you will keep growing: trough constantly overcoming the resistance in your life!

So if you started your day feeling tired & weak, acknowledge this, change your attitude & go do what needs to get done!

How much EFFORT are You Willing to Give to Reach Your Goals?

There are 67 days left till the end of the year & that’s when most people start making new goals

New goals to change:

  • their life
  • their body
  • their finances
  • and their bad habits

But FUCK That!

Everyday is a new goal!

Everyday is a new Battle

Every day is a new opportunity to give it all you can, to make it count!

  • Nobody will give you what you want out of nowhere
  • No magic shit will happen and transform you into the ripped and muscular beast you wanna be
  • No magic pill alone will get you the performance to kick ass in your sport
  • No magical exercise will get you Stronger
  • No protein shake will get you the bigger muscles you desire

And while there are things that will help you along the way, noting will happen if you don’t put in the work

Nothing Will happen without Effort!

If none of this wasn’t there to try to hold you back, you would stay weak & mediocre like most people

Effort Might be Underrated but That’s All You Got

  • How bad do you want to get stronger?
  • How bad do you want to get bigger?
  • How badly do you want to get ripped?
  • How much effort are you willing to put in to get what you want?

There are 2 months & 1 week left till the end of the year & you got 2 options

  1. You can kick off the new year being stronger & bigger than you are right now
  2. or you can make the excuse like everyone else, that you are not motivated enough & have to wait till everyone else starts in the new year to make things happen

Your choice, It’s all up to you!

Sprint & Bodyweight at Playground Workout - Show Life Whos Boss

Do You Show Life Who’s Boss?

You know those moments when you don’t feel like doing something but you do it anyways?
That’s how today’s morning started for me

I knew I had to workout today and usually am pumped for it, but today I wasn’t feeling it 100%

But I did it anyway, I went to the playground and killed this Bodyweight & Sprinting Workout

I thought I was gonna bang out everything smoothly but everything went the opposite way;

I felt heavy and sluggish

I had not sprinted in 2 weeks so adding them to today’s workout crushed me!

Although nothing went like envisioned am glad I pushed trough

Doing the things you don’t want to but you know you have to will toughen up your mind,

It will build a strong character so you stop making lame excuses about why you can’t do something when life gets hard

In the end you have the choice to be in charged of the situation or be a victim

Today I choose to take charge and push trough

Do you Take full responsibility and show life who’s Boss?
